A common question I receive as a photographer in Paris is: What happens if it rains on the day of the photoshoot? Don’t worry, there are always options! First, you can send me a message to check if we can reschedule for a drier day. However, if it’s your last day in Paris, we embrace the rain and turn the session into a magical and unforgettable experience. For this, I usually bring a clear umbrella with me, creating unique and charming images.
One of my favorite rainy day sessions took place on a calm, foggy morning. We started at Trocadéro, with the iconic Eiffel Tower as the backdrop. The rain had driven most people away, leaving the square almost empty. This allowed us to capture incredible wide-angle shots, taking full advantage of the grandeur of the location.
Next, we walked to a nearby street offering a unique perspective of the Eiffel Tower. This lesser-known spot blends a charming view with classic Parisian architecture. The picturesque street was perfect for capturing more intimate and charming portraits.
We then headed to the charming Passy neighborhood, eventually reaching the iconic Pont de Bir-Hakeim. This bridge, famous for its stunning views of the Eiffel Tower, is one of my favorite locations for family photoshoots in Paris.
What I love most about this route is its convenience: all the locations are within walking distance, allowing us to finish the session in about an hour without the need for a taxi or Uber.
If you’re planning a photoshoot in Paris and are worried about the weather, send me a message, and we can discuss the available options. Rainy days can bring a special touch to your photos, resulting in truly unforgettable memories. Don’t be afraid to embrace the rain — it may just lead to portraits that you’ll cherish forever!
